Our Story
Our story started when the visionary behind Dragon Chef, Mr. Kunzang Tshering, arrived in Perth in 2014. An active volunteer during the many Bhutanese social gatherings and events, he helped prepare delicious meals for the community.
Noticing his amazing culinary skills, friends and family encouraged him to consider opening a restaurant to cater to the growing community. Thus he conceived the idea of Dragon Chef Food Truck in 2019.

With continued support from the community, we expanded our horizons in 2021 with the opening of Dragon Fast Food and Takeaway.
After two short years, we expanded further and established a full-fledged restaurant. We now call ourselves Dragon Chef – Bhutanese Restaurant.
Today we are proud to employ about 30 Bhutanese and we only dream of seeing this family grow.
Located at 224 Main Street, Osborne Park, we are dedicated to the essence of what Bhutan is. We serve authentic Bhutanese dishes in buffet menu in our spacious and homely establishment that can accommodate up to 250 guests at a time.
Feel at home
Our setup also includes a stage with traditional musical instruments including yangchen, dramnyen, chiwang, and lim. For those who love to sing, feel free to showcase your talent at our karaoke corner.
Planning a special event? We also offer catering services to bring the taste of Bhutan to your weddings and birthday celebrations.
